Director
David’s tax career started in 1991 working for the Inland Revenue. When Self-Assessment was introduced in 1997, he moved to working for accountancy practices including local and regional independent firms and until 2007 with a leading national top ten company before he started his own practice in 2008, trading as Derbyshire Tax Services. He has advised on a wide range of issues from helping small owner-managed businesses through to high net-worth entrepreneurs.
David is registered with the Association of Taxation Technicians as a Practising Member http://www.att.org.uk/
Thomas Curtis ACCA MAAT
Director
Tom qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2022 after previously achieving the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification in 2017. He is responsible for the preparation of accounts, VAT Returns and Tax Returns and advising clients on all related matters.
Tom is a lifelong Derby County supporter.
Terry Sutcliffe
Senior Accountant
Terry brings over 30 years of experience into the practice to compliment the team. His role comprises of Accounts, VAT, Bookkeeping, Tax Returns and occasionally Payroll, he’s kind of our midfielder which bodes well with his love of football. Away from work Terry is a key organiser in a local football organisation that has raised and donated over £29,000 to local charities and charitable organisations in the last 4 years. He also has a 3 year old daughter who helps to keep him on his toes and his mind sharp.
Kim Smith
Semi-Senior Accountant
Kim deals with all aspects relating to the production of Accounts, VAT Returns, and Tax Returns. Her vast knowledge has been gained through over 20 years’ experience in the accounting industry.
When not in the office she likes reading, socialising with friends and going out exploring the local countryside.
Nathan Handley
Accounts Assistant
Nathan assists with the preparation of Accounts, VAT Returns, and Tax Returns as well as helping to run payroll services for clients. He is currently studying towards achieving his AAT level 4 with the aspiration to one day becoming a Chartered Accountant. He has been working in the accounting industry for four and half years.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time in the gym and watching football.
Loxley Fletcher
Loxley is currently studying towards achieving the AAT level 4 qualification. Her work includes assisting with the preparation of accounts and Tax Returns. When not in the office, she likes spending time with her family, her two pugs and lizard, Penelope.
Jamie Walker

Elijah Hamilton

Elijah is a Trainee IT support Technician with CIS IT Services Ltd. He is working towards ICT systems support Level 2 and next year hopes to be able to undertake the CompTIA A= Help Desk technician qualification once he has completed his Level 2. He is a keen PC system Builder and this is where his enthusiasm for IT began by building custom computers.
